Lebron's Facial Released

The video footage of Lebron getting dunked on was finally released. There are two videos which show the two handed posterization from different angles. The first by eBaum Nation and the second by TMZ. The TMZ video is low quality but it shows someone getting dunked on! Check the videos out at the link below.

Terrible camera angle.
Didn't quite make it past the plate but we still love him.

Antonio Cromartie...The Best or A Bust.

I recently read an article on Antonio Cromartie of the San Diego Chargers and there were three statements from him that caught my attention.
  1. "My job is already easy, to tell you the truth. It's really not hard to do, even if [Brandon Marshall] didn't get traded."
  2. "Im think I'm the best. If you match up next to Nnamdi from the Raiders, us two are the best."
  3. "Dwayne Bowe only has two catches on me in two years, so I've never had a hard time against him."
Its obvious he's feeling himself a little bit, which is ok. But lets look at the facts.
  • He followed up his 10 interception 07-08 season with a poor 2 interception 08-09 season
  • He was defending on the majority of Brandon Marshall's record 18 catch game
  • Nnamdi Asomugha has a forced incompletion rate of 64% compared to Cromartie's 13%
  • Dwayne Bowe only has two catches on him in two years because Bowe is the number one receiver in Kansas City, who is defended by the number one corner in San Diego, Quentin Jammer
Is Cromartie the best? Since he's not even number one on a team which is one of the worst in the NFL at defending the pass, I would have to say absolutely not! Is he a bust? Not yet, but he definitely needs to have a better season this year if he plans to stay in the starting lineup for a contender.

Bolt's 19.59 in Lausanne!

Usain Bolt ran a very impressive race in Lausanne. You cant take that away from him regardless of what you feel about him. The problem I have is all the talk about how he sent a message to everyone else in the field. Regardless of how everyone else ran, Bolt still would have won the race, but no one else ran.
Because of the rain and cold conditions everyone else ran what many see as a smarter race by backing off and not trying to run personal bests or record breaking times while Bolt was up front sprinting all out in a meaningless race. Like I previously stated, Bolt most likely would still have won the race with everyone running full speed but the runner up ran 20.40. Churandy Martina (lane 3), Lashawn Merritt (lane 4) and Shawn Crawford (lane 6) could have all easily ran under 20.

Casey Kelly...Is he that GOOD?

Casey Kelly is a 19 year old baseball phenom who is apparently so good at pitching, it bores him. At the age of 18 he possessed the power to make a major league baseball team offer a compromise in order to keep him in baseball. Kelly passed up the opportunity to play quarterback for the University of Tennessee to sign with the Boston Red Sox. The Compromise: "play shortstop in 2008, then pitch the first half of 2009 before returning to shortstop in the second half."
As for his pitching; In over 95 innings at two levels of Class A he put up a 2.08 earned-run average as well as averaging a nearly 5-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio. According to an article on Kelly in Yahoo Sports!, he threw six perfect innings sitting 18 hitters in 60 pitches. He seems to be the real deal as a pitcher.
According to his father, former major league catcher Pat Kelly, Casey is a better position player than pitcher. So far, his stats have told a different story. He has the size (6'3-194lbs.) and athleticism but striking out 34 times out of 98 at-bats isn't going to get it done in the majors.

Below is the link to the article on Yahoo Sports!

If anyone has more news/stats on Kelly or has seen him play please comment.

My first post.....Thoughts on Lebron.

Lebron is always a hot topic but even more so dating back to his actions (refusing to speak to the media or shake hands with magic players) after Cleveland's 90-103 loss to the Orlando Magic on May 30, 2009.
Personally, I find his most recent behavior quite hilarious. I am of-course speaking of the confiscation of video footage in which the 6'4 Xavier sophomore, Jordan Crawford posterizes James with a dunk that ranges from a one handed jam to a two handed windmill (depending on the source). James and Nike are now being showered with negative publicity while the kid who nobody knew existed has instantly become a legend.
